Frequently Asked Questions

Heavy Hex Bolts (governed by ASME B18.2.1) feature a larger width across flats (AF) and slightly thicker head compared to standard hex bolts (DIN 933 / ASME B18.2.1 Standard). This larger head diameter distributes clamping loads across a greater surface area, preventing flange indentation in high-pressure piping (ASTM A193 B7/B8) and structural steel connections.

Yes. Over 40% of our production consists of custom CNC-machined and hot-forged bolts built precisely to client CAD/CAM drawings, special non-standard thread pitches (e.g. ACME, Trapezoidal, Extra-Fine), extended lengths up to 6 meters, and custom shank diameters in exotic superalloys.

Every delivery is accompanied by an EN 10204 Type 3.1 Mill Test Certificate providing full heat number traceability, spectro chemical analysis, tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, reduction of area, Charpy V-notch impact values, hardness test results, and dimensional verification. Third-party inspection (EN 10204 3.2 by TUV, DNV, Lloyd's, BV, or SGS) is readily provided upon request.

For subsea and marine splash zones, Super Duplex UNS S32750 / 2507 (PREN > 42), Inconel 625, and Titanium Grade 5 provide superior immunity against pitting and crevice corrosion compared to SS 316. Inconel 625 is the gold standard for subsea Christmas trees and riser bolting where cathodic protection systems are active.

We maintain an extensive ready stock of standard sizes in ASTM A193 B7, B8, B8M, SS 304, and SS 316 for same-day or 48-hour global dispatch. Custom hot-forged superalloy bolts (Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel, Duplex) typically carry a rapid manufacturing lead time of 7 to 15 business days with flexible MOQs suitable for maintenance shutdowns and OEM projects alike.
